Graduates in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (GWGSS) Conference: Gender, NOW

March 3–4, 2026 at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center

The Gender, NOW: A Penn State Graduates in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Conference was held on March 3–4, 2026, at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center at Penn State. Organized by graduate students in the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) program, the two-day conference created an interdisciplinary forum for scholars to engage with urgent questions surrounding gender, sexuality, embodiment, and power in contemporary contexts. The organizers extend their sincere gratitude to the faculty members of the WGSS program and the administrative support staff whose guidance, mentorship, and logistical assistance made the conference possible. The conference aimed to foster dialogue across disciplines, to provide a platform for emerging scholars to share research and participate in critical conversations about gender in the present moment.

GWGSS members include: Samrat Sharma and Yi-Fan Li (co-presidents), Ozge Ege Altan, Kristina Bowers, and Suleyman Bolukbas.
