Upcoming WGSS Speaker Series Events 2025-2026

The Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Penn State is thrilled to announce our upcoming Speaker Series events. Join us on select Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 335 Willard Building (unless otherwise noted) for a series of engaging talks on topics related to gender justice, race, politics, and more.

Event Lineup:

  • September 17: Sharon Yam and Natalie Fixmer-Oraiz on “Doing Gender Justice,” held at Foster Auditorium, 102 Paterno Library.
  • October 15: Michelle Irving will present “Born to Run: Maternal Appeals, Race, and Congressional Campaigns” in Willard 335.
  • December 10: Brooke Hull, topic TBD, in Willard 335.
  • January 21: Ariana Steele, topic TBD, in Willard 335.
  • February 11: Marquis Bey from Northwestern University, at Foster Auditorium, 102 Paterno Library.
