WGSS Speaker Series Events Spring 2026

The Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Penn State is excited to host our Spring 2026 Speaker Series. Please join us on select Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in 335 Willard Building (unless otherwise noted) for dynamic conversations addressing gender justice, race, politics, and more.

Event Lineup:

  • January 21: Ariana Steele on  “Trans Self-Identification and Meaning-Making: Book Proposal Work-In-Progress Session” in Willard 335.
  • February 11: Marquis Bey from Northwestern University presents “The Life of Nonbinary” at Foster Auditorium, 102 Paterno Library.
  • March 18: Laurie Essig from Middlebury College will share “Tracing the Global and Gender Movement: Feminism, Fascism, and the Future” in Willard 335.
  • April 8: Micaela Amato Amateau on “Silver Stories” in Willard 335.
