Professional Bio
Andersen is a dual title PhD student in WGSS and Mass Communications. Her research broadly focuses on the intersection of media, history, and religion. Under the umbrella of media history, she is interested in how secular and religious popular media inform a person’s view of a religion. Her dissertation explores how womanhood is constructed in religious pop culture. Andersen currently serves as a member at large for GWGSS.
