Dual PhD candidate in Psychology and Women's Studies



Lindsay Palmer is a graduate student in the dual-title degree program in Social Psychology and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Her research interests include academic inclusion, prejudice, and stigma. With her primary advisor, Dr. Jes Matsick, she investigates: 1) the experiences of sexual minorities and inclusion in STEM 2) the experiences of individuals with multiple marginalized identities and academia 3) the influences of race, sexuality, disability, gender and other identity factors in personal and public experiences more broadly. In the GISP lab, she investigates the experiences of different social groups as well as interventions for recruitment and retention of underrepresented groups in academia.
