The Sara Woods Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award recognizes excellence in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies teaching. Students must be enrolled in the WGSS dual-title doctoral program to be eligible for the award. (Minors are not eligible.) Preference will be given to those who have taught WGSS courses, although this is not a requirement for the award. Self-nominations are welcome. Applications should include:
- A 1–2 page teaching philosophy
- Two letters of recommendation that focus on the student’s teaching
- Copies of SRTE scores (up to three classes of SRTE scores can be submitted)
- A current CV
Applications are due TBD. Please submit all materials in pdf form (except recommendations) to wgssgradprogram@psu.edu. Please ask your letter writers to send their recommendation directly to the same email address, preferably as an attached document.
