Professional Bio
Ana Hidrovo-Lupera is a dual-title Ph.D. student in History and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Her research interests are located at the intersection of the history of science and medicine in Latin America and women’s and gender history. Her dissertation project will be oriented to pose women as producers and reproducers of medical and scientific knowledge in formal and public spaces, but above all, in the knowledge and practices that circulated through networks of exchange and solidarity created in informal, private, and intimate areas during nineteenth- and twentieth-century Ecuador.
