Professional Bio

Fouz Aljameel (she/her) is a Ph.D. candidate in the dual-title program in Art Education and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She is also a graduate research assistant at Penn State's Center for Pedagogy in Arts and Design. Specializing in the complex intersections between cyberfeminism, platform feminism, and artistic activism, her work is inherently interdisciplinary, blending elements of visual art, feminist thought, and digital media to scrutinize and challenge prevailing societal norms and inequities. Her research is deeply committed to exploring the transformative power of digital art in fostering gender equality and advancing digital culture. Her research extends to examining the cultural and societal nuances of the Arab Gulf countries.
