The Sara Woods Graduate Fund in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies: Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award

The Sara Woods Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award recognizes excellence in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies teaching. Students must be enrolled in the WGSS dual-title doctoral program to be eligible for the award. (Minors are not eligible.) Preference will be given to those who have taught WGSS courses, although this is not a requirement for the award. Self-nominations are welcome. Applications should include:

  • A 1–2 page teaching philosophy
  • Two letters of recommendation that focus on the student’s teaching
  • Copies of SRTE scores (up to three classes of SRTE scores can be submitted)
  • A current CV

Applications are due TBD. Please submit all materials in pdf form (except recommendations) to Please ask your letter writers to send their recommendation directly to the same email address, preferably as an attached document.
