Jeanine Staples is Professor of Literacy and Language, African American Studies, and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Dr. Staples's areas of specialization are: New Literacies Studies, race and gender theory, urban studies, teacher education, sociocultural studies and popular culture inquiries, and educational anthropology.
