Professional Bio
Miriam is a Ph.D. candidate in the English and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies dual-title program. Her research, which focuses on the environmental humanities, draws on queer and feminist scholarship in ecocriticism, American Studies, and multi-ethnic U.S. literatures to establish material and textual sites through which individuals and communities can engage with the environments and ecosystems in which they live and work. During 2019–20, she worked as an assistant with the Public Writing Initiative and served as President of the English Graduate Organization.
