Transforming Feminist and Gender Studies Colloquium

The Transforming Feminist and Gender Studies Colloquium brings together Penn State students, faculty, and visiting scholars in order to generate dialogue and research on the intersections of trans studies with feminist, queer, and gender studies.

Fall 2020

This semester, the Transforming Feminist and Gender Studies Colloquium will be meeting on Tuesday, October 13 and Tuesday, November 10, from 12-1pm via Zoom.

For our October meeting, we'll be discussing the introductory essay to the recent special issue of the Sociological Review on the "TERF (trans-exclusionary radical feminist) Wars," which you can find here.

In November, we'll be meeting with Jo Hsu (Assistant Professor of Writing and Rhetoric at UT-Austin, and a Penn State alum) to discuss some of their work-in-progress, at the juncture of trans, crip, and queer of color studies. More details will be forthcoming soon.
