Penn State’s African Feminist Initiative shows how women are ‘connected globally’

Penn State’s African Feminist Initiative (AFI) was featured in a recent article in the Daily Collegian, “Penn State’s African Feminist Initiative shows how women are ‘connected globally’”.

Maha Marouan, associate professor of women’s, gender, and sexuality studies, and African studies works alongside co-directors Gabeba Baderoon, associate professor of WGSS, African studies, and comparative literature, and Alicia Decker, associate professor of women’s, gender, and sexuality studies, African studies, and history, and WGSS department head, to showcase the AFI as a transnational and global research network connecting scholars in African feminism and sharing their work.
