Professional Bio
Laurie Dubois is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in French and Francophone Studies, and specializes in nineteenth century French and Francophone literatures. Prior to obtaining her French master of arts degree at the University of Utah, she was an elementary teacher in both France and dual language immersion in Utah. Her research focuses on women writers of children’s literature during the nineteenth century, particularly scientific vulgarization, didactical work and language pedagogy through the critical framework of discourse analysis and feminist theories.
