Professional Bio
Laurie Dubois is currently pursuing a PhD in French and Francophone Studies, and specializes in 19th Century French and Francophone literatures. Prior to obtaining her French MA at the University of Utah, she was an elementary teacher in both France and Dual Language Immersion in Utah. Her research focuses on women writers of Children’s Literature during the Nineteenth-Century, particularly scientific vulgarization, didactical work and language pedagogy through the critical framework of discourse analysis and feminist theories.
